Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Academy Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Başar Özbozkurt, as the academic advisor of the Mersin Journalists Association, provided training titled "Media Ethics and Journalism" to the valuable press members of Mersin at the Tarsus Youth Camp between May 3-5, 2024.
In the workshop, Mersin Journalists Association Academic Advisor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Academy Assoc. Prof. Onur Başar Özbozkurt shared his latest research and scientific reports in the field of journalism and media with the participating journalists. Chairman Özbozkurt shared the concepts of ethics and media ethics in detail and touched on the current problems faced by members of the press with case studies. In addition, he shared information with the participants on the rise of digital media and the effects of social media on journalism.
Mersin Journalists Association President and Turkish Journalists Federation Vice President Rüstem Kaya Tepe shared the problems of the local press and the recent changes made in the laws and regulations related to the press with the participants and answered the questions. After the workshop, Mersin Journalists Association President R. Kaya Tepe, thanked to Assoc. Prof. Onur Başar Özbozkurt for his presentation, stated that they would periodically organize such events, and wished him success in his work.
