We celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the adoption of our National Anthem, the common voice and common feeling of our nation, by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on March 12, 1921, and we commemorate our poet of Independence, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, and our heroic martyrs with mercy and longing.
May God not let this nation write the National Anthem again...
