In cooperation with the Association of Academy and Mersin Journalists Association, a conference with the theme of "Atatürk and the Construction and Reinforcement of Turkish Democracy" was held at the Tarsus Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Hall.
E. Brigadier General, E. Damascus Military Attaché, E. Aselsan Board Member and one of the Founders of the Academy Association, Prof. Dr. Esat Arslan, shared the great struggle that Atatürk had while establishing our Republic and the important events of history that are not widely known within the scope of the "10 November Atatürk Commemoration Day" conference.
Association of Academy Board Member, scientist and Republic Historian Dr. Ayhan Cankut drew attention to many details such as Atatürk's life and leadership in his presentation titled "Our Eternal Leader Atatürk".
Mersin Journalists Association President Rüstem Kaya Tepe, in his speech, said, "The 10 November Atatürk Commemoration Day Event, which we organized in cooperation with the Academy Association, is of great importance. On this important day, we respect and miss the founder of our Republic, our Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk." and we remember it with gratitude. I would like to thank to Prof. Dr. Esat Arslan and Dr. Ayhan Cankut who attended the conference as a speaker and told us the unknowns of history.
In her speech, Association of Academy Vice President Fatma Yeşilkuş said that the biggest duty of all of us on the anniversary of the day Atatürk was sent off to immortality; she emphasized that the aim is to understand Ataturk and his greatest work, the Republic, to protect the values of the Republic under all circumstances, to embrace Ataturkist thought and to carry Türkiye to a bright future.
Fuat Togo, Vice Chairman of the Board of Tarsus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Assoc. Prof. Onur Başar Özbozkurt President of the Academy Association, and members of the Association of Academy, Mersin Journalists Association President Rüstem Kaya Tepe and Board Members, branch managers and school principals from the Tarsus District National Education Directorate, Atatürkist Thought Association Tarsus Branch Management, Contemporary Life Support Association Tarsus Branch Management and students from universities attended the conference held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Hall.
At the end of the conference, flowers were presented to the speakers and those who contributed to the event.
