President of the Association of Academy, academician, columnist, and strategist Assoc. Dr. Onur Başar Özbozkurt came together with Mersin University Engineering Faculty students at the event titled “Entrepreneurship as a Career Choice”.
Moderated by Dr. Necdet Sezal at Mersin University, Assoc. Dr. Onur Başar Özbozkurt specifically touched upon topics such as the importance of entrepreneurship in terms of individuals' careers, the economic contributions of entrepreneurship to countries, and current support programs related to entrepreneurship.
Providing entrepreneurship advice to young people at the conference, where the participation was intense, Assoc. Dr. Onur Başar Özbozkurt “When planning your career, you should definitely consider the entrepreneurship option. Don't be afraid to take risks or fail while making your dreams come true. Remember that where there are risks, there can be opportunities. On the other hand, do not ignore the advantages of creating a professional network. Meeting potential entrepreneurs like you with individuals with a high entrepreneurial tendency and staying in constant communication will increase your entrepreneurial motivation in this process.” said.
Offering examples of his own work on entrepreneurship, Assoc. Dr. Onur Başar Özbozkurt said, “As a result of a study we conducted on approximately 300 undergraduate students, it was revealed that the entrepreneurial tendencies of the students studying at universities increase as they approach the last period of their education. In another study, we found that individuals who received KOSGEB training had a high level of entrepreneurial tendencies. For this reason, I believe that the training you have received will take you one step forward in your entrepreneurial career.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özbozkurt, thanked to the Moderatör Dr. Sezal due to his kind invitations and Mersin University students who showed great interest. Dr. Sezal said, “Your participation and your advice to our students are very valuable. In this sense, we thank you.”
